Start Thinking Ahead Now to Be Ready for Spring

Although there’s snow on the ground, smart supervisors and managers think ahead to prepare their employees for a safer spring and summer. “Register staff now for the training you know they’ll need when spring arrives,” advises Tim Lenac, PDRMA Risk Management Services Supervisor.

Key Webinars

“We know everyone’s busy now handling winter safety even as you start preparing for spring and summer,” he adds. “But this webinars is a great way to stay on top of training without having to leave your agency.”

In-person Training

“You can also spend a day on-site with PDRMA staff and focus on a specific topic,” Lenac explains. “This year we’re holding our aquatic and day camp trainings on the same day at the same location — Abbington Distinctive Banquets in Glen Ellyn. While our Day Camp session is already full, there is still availability for the aquatic session.”

Lastly, if you’re a supervisor who wants to learn more about how to apply proactive risk management principles in your buildings, programs and outdoor amenities, consider registering for the A Supervisors Role in Managing Risk in Parks and Recreation class. It provides new supervisors the tools and resources they need to implement risk management solutions proactively as well as reinforce them with veteran staff.
