COVID-19 Safety Measures Impact PDRMA Training Options
While agencies adjust job tasks, update personal protective equipment and modify patron programs to meet new health and safety standards, PDRMA’s training environment is also changing.
“We have suspended all of our on-site training programs through the end of 2020,” explains Bill Hooker, PDRMA’s Training Program Supervisor, “but we’re still meeting training needs through virtual course offerings. We will cover new topics and provide relevant training for changing workforces and COVID-19 requirements.”
In addition to on-demand streaming and downloadable videos available on the website, PDRMA is updating its 2020 training calendar and offering:
- Webinars.
- Web-based instructor programs (using PDRMA vendor partners).
- Packaged resources — support materials, videos and other materials packaged and available to members.
“While we cancelled our live Risk Management Institute (RMI) originally scheduled for Nov. 20, we will offer a Virtual RMI Speaker Series beginning later this year,” adds Hooker. “We are finalizing logistics and will let members know when we have dates and times.” |
