Spring Training Is Important for Sports — and Job Tasks

Be sure to take advantage of PDRMA’s practical and insightful training courses this spring to keep staff and patrons safe in 2020. You don’t have to step into the batter’s box, but you CAN step up to the plate to reduce injury risks and improve safety at your agency with these trainings!

“The courses are more than just refreshers,” says Bill Hooker, PDRMA Training Program Supervisor. “With hands-on exercise, the latest in best practices and important updates on emerging risks, you’re more than likely to pick up some tips to help your agency.”

Register early — and bring along other team members. “It’s always easier to implement ideas when everyone’s on the same page,” Hooker notes, “and when you are, it sends a strong message about your safety culture.”

Aquatic Risk Management Day — Feb. 19

Aquatic season isn’t far off, and you’ll want to know the latest PDRMA recommendations and best practices before you open your pool. There’s only have a few days left to register for the Aquatic Risk Management Day, so go to the Training Calendar page now to do so! It will be a full day of examining current and emerging issues in aquatic safety including best practices to reduce risks associated with sexual child abuse and aquatic risk management programming. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions of representatives from the lifeguard certifying agencies.

Don’t forget to register for these courses on the Training Calendar page of PDRMA’s website!
