Basic Life Coverage (with AD&D benefits)

Member agencies must offer and enroll all full-time employees who work at least 30 hours a week and are benefits-eligible in this basic coverage. Member agencies are responsible for the premiums and cannot require contributions from the employees.

PDRMA Health offers seven coverage options:

  • Option 1 — Flat $25,000.
  • Option 2 — One times the annual salary up to $200,000.
  • Option 3 — Two times the annual salary up to $200,000.
  • Option 4 — Two times the annual salary up to $100,000.
  • Option 5 — One-and-a-half times the annual salary up to $200,000.
  • Option 6 — Flat $50,000.
  • Option 7 — One-and-a-half times the annual salary up to $50,000.

Additional Life Coverage

In addition to providing Basic Life coverage, each member agency may also choose to offer Additional Life coverage, through Mutual of Omaha, to employees. The employee pays for this coverage, usually through payroll deductions. Coverage is available to the employee and the employee's spouse and dependents — regardless of enrollment in the medical plan.
