PDRMA Health is responsible for ensuring our plan complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We are committed to protecting the privacy of all forms of participants' Protected Health Information (PHI). For example, we require written authorization to discuss an enrolled employee's PHI with someone other than the enrolled employee. We continuously review our processes to guarantee the security of all PHI and provide training to member agencies regarding HIPAA compliance.
In the event of a change to PDRMA's Notice of Privacy Practices, we provide our members with the updated version to give to each employee enrolled in the plan.
