RMR Update
The Risk Management Review (RMR) is still on track, despite the pandemic, social distancing and lockdowns — thanks to flexibility.
Instead of continuing the full pilot program in 2020, we focused on developing the RMR infrastructure, refining and finalizing new forms and loading them into the In2vate software platform, which we were originally planning to do in 2021. We also checked in with all PDRMA members last year to see which agencies would be ready to help continue testing in 2021.
Switched focus, same goal
“We switched our priorities as a result of the pandemic,” explains Tim Lenac, PDRMA Risk Management Services Supervisor. “We’ll continue to incorporate member feedback throughout this year, and still be on track to roll out the RMR to all members in 2022.”
Looking Ahead
The plan is to begin testing select forms starting in the second quarter of 2021 with all members ready to move forward with the RMR pilot. “We’ll also field test some forms and systems with members,” Lenac adds.
In the third quarter of 2021, PDRMA will introduce and assign the Slip, Trip and Fall (STF) form to all members to complete, since it’s applicable across all operations. The STF form is the one PDRMA will use to create standardized reports about membership risk management performance. And it will allow all members to become familiar with the In2vate software platform prior to full implementation of the RMR next year.
“We’re also developing resources to help members learn how to use In2vate and will host training sessions later this year,” Lenac concludes. |
