Now that we’ve got you thinking about good nutrition, we want to talk about good fats. Yes, “good” fats. There really are some fats your body and mind need to stay healthy.
Whether it’s the olive oil that’s essential to the Mediterranean diet or avocados (that even the Mayo Clinic recommends), healthy fats are part of good nutrition. Of course, this doesn’t mean you need to — or should — have avocado toast every morning for breakfast! But in moderation, good fats can improve or prevent certain health conditions.
Mindful of Mental Health Webinar
Hopefully you were able to join us Jan. 23 for the first of our 2024 Mindful of Mental Health Webinars. Our topic was The Connection Between Nutrition and Mental Health where we explored how to make nutrition part of a holistic approach to treating stress, anxiety and depression. If you missed the live webinar, click here to listen to the recording. This webinar gives ideas about how to incorporate good fats into your menu.
PATH Healthy Habits Challenge
Join PATH’s Healthy Habits Challenge, Fats for Good, Jan. 29 to Feb. 4. to begin creating a habit of eating at least one serving of good fats each day. For one week, your goal is to eat a serving of good fats, five out of seven days. If you meet that goal, you’ll improve your fat intake, “win” the challenge and earn 200 PATH points!
