Are you participating in the current Minutes of Mindfulness Challenge running from May 2 through May 22? If you’re one of the 544 people in this challenge, we hope you’re enjoying learning how to calm your mind and focus on the moment.
After the first week of the challenge, participants logged 60,614 total mindful minutes with an average daily goal of 21 minutes! |
This challenge is different from most previous PATH ones, as you can determine how to participate in it and self-define your goals. Your definition of mindfulness may be yoga, relaxation exercises, meditation, journaling — or anything that helps you focus on the here and now without distractions.
You earn points based on the percentage of your goal you achieve. Participants set their own daily mindful minutes goal (from 5-to-120 daily) for the three-week period. The challenge tracks the percentage of your goal completion and displays each participant’s completion percentage on the challenge leaderboard. You earn points based on reaching different percentage levels of your goal — 10 percent, 25 percent, 50 percent, 75 percent, 100 percent and 110 percent.
After the first week of the challenge, participants logged 60,614 total mindful minutes with an average daily goal of 21 minutes! And 30 percent of challenge participants had already reached 25 percent of their goal.
Even if you were not able to compete in our
Minutes of Mindfulness Challenge, consider creating your own personal challenge to give mindfulness a try for a week or two. You might be surprised at the benefits you receive from being mindful — and maybe you’ll want to make it a daily habit!
